Youths coming from many european countries present in sevilla their proposals for the new members of the european parliament
This seminar was held between July 15th and 18th at Hotel NH Plaza de Armas, in Sevilla, with the participation of youths aged from 18 to 30 years old and coming from United Kingdom, Romania, Malta and Spain. Escuela Cultura de Paz was in charge of the organisation, coordination and drawing of the conclusions of the seminar. This initiative takes place within the context of the European Project our Association is carrying out, called Democracy and Youth.
During the four days of the seminar the participants discussed the most concerning issues for European youth and presented their proposals to the new members of the European Parliament. These proposals are the result of a survey these youths have been carrying out for the last months in their home countries, so as to know youths’ opinion on the European Union and the topics that concern them most.
The opening of the seminar took place on July 15th at 10:30 at Hotel NH Plaza de Armas in Sevilla, with the interventions of Francisco Antonio Bernal Pérez (Provincial Director of the Andalusian Youth Institute), Mr. Santiago Agüero Muñoz (Co-founder of Escuela Cultura de Paz) and Mrs. Patricia Caracuel (Institutional Relations Coordinator at Escuela Cultura de Paz).
The closing ceremony was held on July 18th, and in counted on the presence of Deputy Mayor and City Councillor of Family, Social Affairs and Areas of special attention of the City Council, Mrs. María Dolores de Pablo – Blanco Oliden.
This seminar is among the activities within the Project Democracy and Youth, an European Project that aims to promote the participation of youths in democracy. This project is an initiative of Escuela Cultura de Paz, with the financial support of the European Union through its program Youth in Action.
SÉMINAIRE EUROPÉEN D’ESCUELA CULTURA DE PAZ
Des jeunes des plusierus pays européens présentent À séville leurs propositions aux nouveaux parlamentaires.
Du 15 au 18 julliet un séminaire européena été organisé à l’Hôtel NH Plaza de Armas à Séville auquel ont participé des jeunes entre 18 et 30 ans du Royaume Uni, Romanie, Malte et d’Espagne.L’association Escuela Cultura de Paz a été responsable d’organiser, coordonner et tirer les conclusions de ce séminaire dans le projet européen que notre association développe: Democracy and Youth.
Pendant les 4 jours du séminaire les jeunes ont abordés les principales préoccupations des jeunes européens et présenté leurs propositions aux nouveaux parlementaires. Ces propositions sont le résultat d’une consultation populaire queles jeunes participants ont réalisé dans leurs pays respectifs ces derniers mois afin de connaître l’avis des jeunes sur l’Union Européenne et leurs principales préoccupations.
L’ouverture du séminaire a eu lieu le 15 julliet à 10h30 à l’Hôtel NH Plaza de Armas à Séville, avec la participation de M. Francisco Antonio Bernal Pérez (Directeur Provincial de l’Institut Andalou de la Jeunesse) et Mme. Patricia Caracuel (Coordinatrice des relations institutionnelles de l’association).La clôture a eu lieu le 18 julliet, avec la participation de l’adjoint au maire Mme. María Dolores de Pablo – Blanco Oliden.
Ce séminaire fait partie des activités du projet Democracy and Youth, un projet européen consacré à fomenter la participation des jeunes dans la vie démocratique. Le projet Democracyand Youth est une initiative d’Escuela Cultura de Paz qui bénéficie dusoutien économique de l’Union Européenne par les biais du programme Juventud en Acción.
